-- Open the Scrubber first and let the chain sit in the middle of the scrubber.
-- Open the lid, pour diesel or gasoline, Slide the locking handle back into place until it clicks.

-- Rinse it with water by using the scrubber again. Thus, this can ensure you to clean the chain quickly without a mess.

Able to acceptably cleaned the old lube and black stuff of my chain with a degreaser. I have to repeat using it three times though. With the handle is a bit flimsy, often there is a drag as you spin the chain. For what it is, it is fine for its price.
